Sri Chamarajendra Park

On any given weekend, you will see people with sketchbooks or easels capturing the light filtering through the trees or the intricate details of the colonial buildings. These events are usually free and attract a diverse crowd, from elderly residents to young students, all sitting on the grass and enjoying the melodies as the sun sets. One of the most heart-warming sights in the park occurs on weekends near the Central Library. The star attraction here is the Putani Express, a popular toy train that takes children (and nostalgic adults) on a delightful ride through a scenic section of the park. For those visiting with kids, Jawahar Bal Bhavan is a must-visit. Small lotus ponds are scattered throughout the park, providing a habitat for local bird species and adding to the picturesque scenery.
